Day of Rest

Sundays are always a fun day for me. We go to church and then spend the afternoon with my folks.

We attend North Bend Church of the Brethren in Danville, Ohio. I spent most of my junior high, high school and some of my college years attending this church. I was baptised in this church also. After I got married and moved away, my husband and I joined the Methodist church. We attended a few different churches over the years, but I felt lead to go back to North Bend. We've been attending now for almost two years. We are slowly becoming more and more involved. My parents have gone back too, when they are able. We are currently studying the book of I Corinthians. Today's sermon was about sexual immorality! Heavy stuff.

After church we (my hubby, Justin and Tuffy) headed to my parents' for lunch. Matt, my hubby, took his usually Sunday nap on the couch while my Dad worked on the computer. Mom and I worked on a craft project. Later, we went to my brother's house to load his wood splitter to take home with us. We also loaded a small metal cabinet that Mom wanted to get rid of. Matt split some wood and Mom and I went in to the Loudonville Goodwill to snoop around. We found some goodies there and headed back. We picked up some pizzas on the way. However, Matt wanted to get home before dark because he didn't have trailer lights on the trailer he was pulling. So, change of plans. He met Mom and I at East of Chicago Pizza. We then went our separate ways--Mom took one pizza and we took the other.

The rest of the night isn't looking too exciting, as most Sundays go. I firmly believe it is and should be a day of rest. A day to sit back, relax, share and have fun. I'll go out and check on the chickens and gather eggs and then it will be time to feed the "kids", our dogs and cats. Then, hubby and I will probably sit down and watch television and enjoy a quiet evening at home.

Gone But Not Forgotten...

Even though you may be gone from this earth, you will always live on in our hearts!

Roscoe

Roscoe
A good walking buddy and awesome frisbee catcher! Life cut short by a brain tumor.

Tuffy

Tuffy
If ever there was a candidate for Dog Heaven, it would be Tuff. Tuff was put to rest December 7, 2012. At almost 14 years old, he threw the longevity curve for dogs of his breed-makeup and size. He battled 2 types of cancer and Cushing's Disease as well as arthritis. Faithful to the end and never grumpy, depite the constant care and nagging from me. Always the protector, gentleman and companion--you will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to know you.

Cranky Thomas

Cranky Thomas
Ever wonder why it's called "Life On CT Farm"? The horse you see in the pictures is Cranky Thomas, a registered quarter horse gelding. He was born May 5, 1980 in Galion, Alabama and passed away August 3, 2004 on CT Farm--his farm. He originally belonged to my husband, but I adopted him and I think he adopted me. We competed together in contest classes at local horse shows. But, an old injury finally slowed him down and I retired him in 2000. He was a loving and patient being that I completely trusted and admired. There will never be another like him, never. He meant so much to me that I named our farm after him as well as my company, Cranky T. LLC. He's gone now, but is still with me and now you.
